Yet another day in which I have to fight DEPLORABLE data standards. At least it wasn't in a meeting? It was just my supervisor and I this time, shaking our heads at the SHIT that people come up with. Really? Polygons ON TOP of polygons? On what planet does that make sense? And really you're going to do that and not even BE CONSISTANT about it? Only half the crosswalks appear above the roads while the other hald are below!

Oh and isn't it kinda standard to name feilds the SAME THING when they are going to be linked in Acess? If it isn't it SHOULD. Major headache, trying to figure out these tables.

HAVING A SHIT DAY.

I know I had my hat when I walked into my office dungeon cubicial this morning. When I left 5 hours later? NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. and hats are hard for me to replace because my HEAD IS FREAKISHLY LARGE.

then in my Professional Writing class, we had a workshop day, where we swap papers and edit them. ~12 pages and all you can tell me is to take the page number off the first page? NOT HELPFUL.

Then, my winter boots. The sole came clean off. Luckily this was as I walked in my front door. BUT HEY. NOT COOL.

YUCK. OVERALL CRAP.

Good things to remember: tomorrow will be a snow day! 4-8" in our neck of the woods (I know that doesn't seem like a lot to some of you, but here it is!). School hasn't been canceled. Yet. But I'm sure it is.

So no screening this week in film class. Storm Sandy is messing everything up! There wasn't one last week either *cray*cray* (also, if any storm is going to bork things up, OF COURSE it would be called Sandy. That's the name of one of Mom's oldest friends, one of Step-Dad's sisters and the dog. the dog came with that name, cause geezee, we know enough of them). I need to watch Breathless which from the clips looks... intense. and interesting. we will see!

while talking about the film class: vidding for a movie that is older than 50 and trying to do internal motion? KINDA STUPID. there isn't much movement, even with a movie to the this grand scale. There is so much talking and the camera is ALWAYS AT THE SAME DISTANCE. back to the fucking board. (it was a great idea too!)

Gahh. I'm feeling pissy!

I've misplaced my flash drive. THIS IS TERRIBLE. It has all of my CAD work on it, my english essay that's due monday, and a number of in progress fics. ETA: Os-kay. I left it in the CAD lab.

It's quite possibly exacerbated by the fact that I watched the Doctor Who episode 'Doomsday'. OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD. I was crying. seriously. While it was great to see Mickey, Jake, Pete & Jackie there's the little bit about ROSE LEAVING. *sporks TBTP* I'm not kidding. I'm so upset.

And the $900 that my step-dad just spent on my car doesn't help. I got a flat on Tuesday. The guy that put the spare on said there was something wrong with the axle. We took it to Firestone (after picking up my mom's van that had a flat fixed the day before). The poor little Toyota got the following: 2 new tires, a front axle-realignment, replaced serpentine belt, replaced drive belt, ball bearings packed, and something to do with the y-boot. I feel like a turd.

I drove almost 200 miles today for an ungrateful little brother today *yuck*

on another note: I HATE SOFTWARE UPDATES. I had to update Firefox, iTunes and Windows Media Player. I can't find anything, firefox and WMP both look rediculious. Oh and did I mention that Media Player NEVER STOPS. I exit the fragging program and it still is running just without a GUI. So I have to hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE and go to my task manager to close the program. Because of course having it open frezzes Windows Media Maker *grr*

yesterday mom and I moved chickens in the morning. well at least we *tried*. apparently the pens are to heavy for us to move. XD shows how much we rely on Homer's strength. so last night G. (owner of land) moved the pens for us. yay! we just had to feed & water the birds.

also: something got in and at 5(?6?) of G.'s laying hens, last night. poor girls.

had a day off today (yay! but werid!). it's a good thing though b/c I got to go back to sleep after moving the chikens and have time to finish calc. I thought I was going to be called in because K. (new worker) can't work Sundays and yet she was schedualed (I wonder why she can't work sundays? does she take Sabbith you think?). J had her name crossed out. J-red didn't show up yesterday and didn't call. (If she got into a car accident, when she just got her car back after 2 months...*snort*).

Mom & I went to the Farmer's Market under the Falls. we got some apples & chesse. came home and had them & some egg salad (our own eggs!!).

okay I went to work today. but I left at 3 b/c dammit I got sick again!!!! I am so over being sick.

then I came home and my sheets (which I had stuck in the dryer) weren't dry yet. so I had to curl up in my chair. not that I don't like my chair I just wanted my bed *frown* finally they finished and I went to sleep.

then my dad came over and we finished filing the FAFSA.

now I will go back to sleep.



But apparently sick also means plot bunnies!!!

So I am feeling a little better. Am no longer throwing up. Yay!!


Chicken Update: we got chicks today!!! suposedly these are all males and reach full size in 6 weeks not 8. and they are so cute!!! It's really scary because they get so *ugly* when their older.


Dammit. I've had it. I'm sick of not having sound. I'm gone go take my computer apart. hopefully I won't kill it XD

fuck. don't ever let me agree to extra shifts again. shoot me or something. I went in at four and left at eight. I made like 20 bucks in tips and *worked my ass off* for the dinner rush.

god spring *sucks* for the soup buisness. nobody wants hot soup when it hits eighty-fucking-three degrees during the day.

and I have to work tommrow. *cries* I wanna go back to school. I am so fucking mad at myself. why oh why did I flunk myself out.

and I feel I must complain about how I take screen caps. Because I have the newest version of PowerDVD there is no screen capture button. So what I have to do is:
1. open Windows Media Player
2. play the movie
3. stop the movie
4. minimize WMP
5. open powerDVD
6. find where I want to cap.
7. pause and make sure the screen doesn't go black (which it does).
8. hit print screen
9. paste into paint/GIMP
can you say annoying!!! and yes I have researched the problem. this is the best solution I came up with.

Ow and fuck. I cut myself at work today with the bread knife. the knife slipped on the crust of the bread and cut the thumb and pointer finger of my left hand. It actually didn't hurt all that much. But I started crying anyway. But I'm pretty sure that's because
a) it was 4 pm
b) I hadn't had lunch yet
c) I'm PMSing
so yea. not the best day. and I'm saying it again. I'M PISSED SUE'S QUITING.

the guy with Rodney's flecce was in again today. made me laugh.

I don't have to work tommorrow. yay!
