This sequence of the house – with Dorothy inside - being transported in the sky can be interpreted as a woman’s first sexual encounter. The majority of the scene takes place in the bedroom. Dorothy had been out in the storm and got locked out the storm cellar. As she searches for her aunt, the wind picks up. When she reaches the bedroom, the storm blows the window in, knocking her unconscious and onto the bed. This montage is edited with soft focus, tilting camera, and a close up of Dorothy until she wakes up – classical Hollywood romance filming coupled with implied pornography. Then she wakes up and sees some things out the open window, until the storm sudden stops abruptly with a sharp ‘O’ from Dorothy. This is indicative of an orgasm. Directly following this sequence, she suddenly sees the world differently – in color
