• 10th Kingdom rewatch! with fadeintodawn again. ALLLLL the Virginia/Wolf feels. Also, this miniseries has the BEST curses.
  
• most unfortunate use of the n-word: name a chocolate lab that. *yick* In the 1955 movie, The Dam Busters. Which aside from that is a fascinating movie. It's about Allies trying to bomb concrete dams in Germany. Deals with trials and tribulations of making "bouncing bombs" - basically they get dropped low, skip along the water like a stone, hit the dam and blow. Highlights include unexpected bb!Robert Shaw.
  
• another war movie (look, I spent a couple of days with my Dad. this results in weird movies, okay?). The Final Countdown. Basically? It's Navy ship porn. An 1980s aircraft carrier goes back in time to Pearl Harbor, December 6, 1941. They try to figure out what the hell happened, and should they intervene. A good 2/3s of the movie is "here's what this piece of machinery does". Highlights? very few, but pre-stroke Kirk Douglass and bb!Martin Sheen kinda count.
  
• mag7daybook stockings. mag7daybook stockings. mag7daybook stockings. mag7daybook stockings. mag7daybook stockings. FABULOUS. THE ELVES OUTDID THEMSELVES. no where near done exploring the goodies, not even in my own stocking!
  
• car made it the 60 miles from college to mom's. Hopefully, all will stay good!

CANNOT BELIEVE TOMORROW IS CHRISTMAS EVE. doesn't feel like it to me. baking cookies tomorrow, and I think there's a party? IDK.

next week is ALLLL the fandom exchanges that are left. Lots to do. busy bee!

It has been soooo hot these last few days. I'm sure a lot of you have heard about it - it's making national news (IDEK, are we making international news?). I'm preeety sure I suffered a bit from heat exhaustion yesterday.

I know I was having conversations with customers where I just sorta... stopped. In the middle of what I was saying :( Someone asked me if I was okay, and I was just like: "I'm HOT". I couldn't do basic math either. And I turned to one of my coworkers at some point and said "I'm going to be a bitch to work with this afternoon - sorry in advance."

Another problem was that the heat kept people inside. Most everyone has power back in our area now. So they didn't come out. Usually on Sunday, lunch rush starts at 1PM. That's different from the rest of the week which starts at 12. (church or lazy sundays or whatever). This Sunday started at 11! and ENDED at 1. Which means we had 4 hours to stand there, smile, and sweat. UGH.

So, then at the end of the day, I packed a giant glass jelly jar with ice and stuck it between my legs for the car ride home (I drive a 22-year old Toyota. AC is a little iffy). Helped me cool off, but not much. I got home and had HUGE sweat stains in my pits. *yuck*

This morning I discovered I went home with a handful of pens and an order book :/ Had to return them (and the glass - though that was on purpose. and they wouldn't have missed it.) this morning since I don't work again until Saturday. AND THEN, when leaving I walked out and COULD NOT FIND MY CAR. I walked up and down the back parking lot, frantic, worried that it had been stolen - or towed (it's a beater. v. unattractive). Then I realized that I parked on the side parking lot last night >:( SERIOUSLY. WHAT WAS I THINKING YESTERDAY?

tl;dr? I hate the heat.
