Day 7
In your own space, share something non-fannish about yourself. A passion or a hobby or a talent, something that people might not know about you. We are more than just our fandoms.
What don't people know about me. hmmm... so I freely admit to being a geek. This is easy. Even my parents know that (although maybe not to the whole depth). But I am also a nerd. Like a numbers nerd. Pleasing numbers make me happy. DATA TABLE and METADATA make me happy. I'm also fond of open source anything and maps.
So here have some links:
Stanford's Data Wrangler - which allows you to manipulate a text file into a spreadsheet. 10K times better than tab/comma/space deliminated!
PLOTS map knitter - which stitches aerial/satellite imagery together for you. AMAZING. cause this shit is expensive. must find out what the error is.
MapBox a fairly easy to use web mapping API. open source and free at low traffic ♥
things that are making me cringe right now, because they are unorganized:
my Chrome bookmarks
my LJ/DW tags
PHOTOBUCKETS NEW STUPIDASS LAYOUT. WHERE ARE MY TAGS, BITCH?
Day 8
In your own space, talk about setting yourself a fannish goal. Big or small, it doesn't matter. Some examples: complete a bingo, sign up for a Big Bang, write that fic you've been thinking about for years, podfic that story that you love, make a fanmix for your fandom, post that bit of meta or reclist you keep putting off. Maybe resolve to be better at leaving feedback or answering comments.
I said this earlier, when I posted my Resolution/Goals. Here's the fannish ones:
Day 9
In your own space, create a fanwork. A drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. A picspam. Something.

- a fanmix for every month of
waywardmixes
- AT LEAST 10k words of Avengers/SPN (always-a-girl!Dean/Bruce) -OR- Tin Man fic. they're outlined already! get em done!
- author 1 wikipedia page and 1 fanlore page - probably Baltimore's Brick Buddha for wiki, and IDEK for fanlore. What needs doing?
