okay, my facebook remains RL-friends only. It always has, and probably always will. WITH THAT SAID, it is really, really, really weird to have a friend share one of his friends post that turns out to be a link to an archiveofourown.org fic. SPECIFICALLY porny, NC-17, Teen Wolf.
Apparently Friend-of-a-friend wrote an article that was published in a scholarly journal. The fic was a pastiche of his article. I think. Really, I was too weirded out to really read what Friend-of-a-friend had to say.
In conclusion? PASS ME THE BRAIN BLEACH. I don't want to think about Friend reading porny Teen Wolf fic. And it's really cool what people on the AO3 can come up with (article/fic premise had something to do with a hierarchy of monsters) but isn't it awkward when it gets back to the source?
ETA: goddammit. on the heels of this post, my uncle clicked 'like' on someone's piece of art. generally, I'm okay with a three foot statue of the Virgin Mary done to look the vagina (LOVE the irony. and sorry if that offends). I just don't want to think about my uncle liking it. *more brain bleach*
and now I need to go check my privacy settings on FB. I don't want everyone to see what I like. wish others felt that way.
