What class/paper/etc do you need to read feminist criticism for?

I was SUPPOSED to be looking for Marxist criticism of 'Kite Runner' for English class. I got a little sidetracked (does that make me a lit' geek?) and started looking at Feminist criticism in general. *blech* Almost all of it is male bashing. *gah*

I should have stuck with the Marxist.

I get sidetracked by things like that all the time. I get less done sitting in the library than I do in my room with my laptop. O_o

I tend to like feminist criticism, as long as it isn't blatantly male-bashing. There's a fun one we had to read for Shakespeare called "Misogyny is Everywhere" about how if you look specifically for men being stupid, you'll find it, so stop focusing only on that. =P

well it didn't help that then I read this scathing feminist view of Joss Whedon's work. IT WAS HORRIBLE. and people agreed with her!

then today my speech teacher got on her soapbox about abortion and how if men took better precautions then abortion wouldn't be an issue. WTF? doesn't it take two to tango?

I've read that! It's RIDICULOUS.

Yeah, that's stupid. It's just as much on the woman.

I can be pretty feminist, but not the man-hating feminist. The feminist would rants about stupid women who let men objectify them. =P
