Intro
Welcome to Tridaga, mining planet in the Antares System. It is 'owned' by the Pirate Queen De LaCour. The planet mines a mineral essential for the flight of the skyfarer ships. The sails are coated in the dust of the mineral, which then can catch the solar winds.
The pirates of De LaCour's ship are fiercely loyal to their Queen. They're a rowdy bunch, always spoiling for a fight, ready with insults a drop of a hat. Swords and pistols are their weapons of choice.
Populating the planet Tridaga are the miners. They are a simple bunch, worn out from the work of mining 'taxes' for De LaCour. Not allowed swords or weapons of any kind, they've made do with their hands. Many of them are used to walking softly in the dark, climbing great heights, and working with explosives.
James Franklin is just one of the many miners that live on Tridaga. He works hard, keeps his head down, and is only vaguely aware of his cousin's interest in the brewing rebellion. At least until he's returning home one payday and is jumped by a band of hungry, rebellious, thieves.
Imagine his surprise when he is saved from a mugging by the Pirate Queen herself! Now he's indebted to her... and in love with the strong willed woman, who is hated by every one of his family.
